Tough times for Sri Lanka
Parallel to this incident, several other parties have raised their concerns about Sri lanka. Navanethem Pillay, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, recently stated that she wanted an international investigation panel to examine the happenings during the last week of the Wanni mission. Within days of this statement, the Special Rapporteur of the United Nations Commission on Human Rights, Philip Alston, in his annual report to the UN council, pointed out that an independent international investigation should be carried out in Sri Lanka. The Human Rights Watch also had some similar comments about the situation as well.
But all these protests and accusations about war crimes in Sri Lanka faced a major setback when the Israeli forces attacked a few humanitarian aid ships bound for Gaza. But as usual, and as expected, that inhumane attack was dissolved without much fuss.
The retd. General Fonseka again came into the limelight when BBC, on June 6th, released a statement made by him alleging that there are eye-witnesses against the Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapakse, who has supposedly ordered his subordinates to kill the surrendered LTTE leaders. This eye-witness was said to be a Sri Lankan journalist who is now hiding overseas. The Defence Secretary in response to this claim has said that the retired General is altering the truth and that he has become a traitor to his mother land.
Actually who is this so called eye-witness? He's non other than the infamous Bomberdier, who was the right arm of the retired General during the latter stages of the war. Loads of his misbehaviours and frauds are starting to come up now with the retired general no longer in power; it is said that the Army personnel in higher ranks weren't able to do anything about this mediaman during the war period because of his close connections with the retired General.
How can this guy be an eye-witness? Did the Defence Secretary issued the orders to kill while Bomberdier was in the vicinity? That is very unlikely to happen. In fact, nothing short of this kind of a hollow behaviour can be expected of a man who tried to safeguard the Millenium City incident in 2002. The problem is how and why did the retired General put faith in this kind of a person?
According to the defence reporter in Sunday Divaina newspaper, Bomberdier is currently operating in the European region, and has drawn hands with the LTTE supportive media group. This group is mainly said to be operating in France, Germany and Switzerland.
Considering the situation in Sri lanka, the TNA leader R.Sambandan has requested the President to allow foreign NGOs to resume their operations in North. The president has duly turned down the request, stating that the Tamils should believe in the government. But according to the British newspaper The Guardian, Tamils have other ideas. "You will see within the next two or three years, these same Tamil people will begin a new armed struggle. A new war led by a new leadership", Sambandan has voiced the Tamils.
A so called major revealation By the Tamils Against Genocide (TAG) recently sent heat waves throughout the world; claiming that they have obtained a 100 page sworn affidavit from a senior commander of SL Army which contains proof about war crimes. This senior commander's services were terminated a long time ago based on his involvement in political activities, and is said to be living abroad. It is pretty much clear that this affidavit is full of bogus claims, but it goes onto show the extent to which a man can betray his country.
Sri Lankan government is facing tough times currently, and the future is not that bright either. The fluency and the transparency in handling these situations may decide the country's fate.

Sri Lanka to face a two million dollar conspiracy
The LTTE website based in Canada proves this. "We expected Rajapakse to come down in the Presidential Election. Then we expected a debacle of the government in the Parliamentary Election. But none of it happened. We Tamils feel heartbroken."
Meanwhile, in India, there is a strong campaign going on to destroy Sri Lanka's image as a country. Last Sunday saw the LTTE supporter C.Rajendran, along with some Tamils, protest in front of the residence of Amitabh Bachchan, requesting him to withdraw the IIFA awards ceremony from Sri Lanka.
Sources have revealed that this protest was setup by the Chennai based film director Sebastian Seeman. David Poobalapillai, of the Canadian Tamil Congress (CTC), went in the same line with Seeman, stating that Amitabh Bachchan should never travel to a country which is guilty of the massacre of thousands of Tamils.
SIS, the secret service of Canada, had previously announced that this CTC is helping Prabhakaran to buy arms. Also it has become evident that it is the CTC which is behind the two million dollar contract, handed over to Sebastian Seeman to carry on the protests.
It was under this contract that Amitabh's and Shah Rukh Khan's residencies were virtually attacked. It was said that around 40 people came to protest in front of SRK's house, although some 800 people were expected. But SRK was very quick in turning down the requests to stay away from the ceremony.
The Australian LTTE movement has sparked off another campaign, which is about collecting evidence about war crimes in Sri Lanka from the illegal Tamil immigrants. This is again a few million dollar contract, handled by a panel of so called Australian lawyers. It is revealed that a certain Ann Mary, vice president of a project about Sri Lanka, is actively involved in this.
Focusing on Sri Lankan soil, Manipai Police is currently investigating a series of crimes, which are believed to be carried out by ex-LTTE cadres, who were just released from rehabilitation camps. But TamilNet was so quick in declaring that the crimes were done by Sinhalese people coming from South, thereby raising more concerns about the ex-LTTEers.
The infamous Bombardier team came into focus again during the past few days, with sources revealing that the cause for the April 2008 Muhamalai debacle was the Bombardiers leaking out important war secrets to LTTE, just prior to the incident. This can be considered as a clear misuse of the so called freedom of media.
Some LTTE websites based in foreign countries have started publishing photographs of Prabhakaran and Thamilselvan attending ceremonies in Wanni, trying to spread the idea that both of them are still alive. This proves that the international LTTE network is in a bad need of resurrecting the died hopes of Tamils living in foreign countries.
Will they succeed in doing that? Or will we see the LTTE network come crumbling down in the near future? Only time will tell.

The Duplicate Prabhakaran - Sebastian Seeman
To start with, he is a film director based in Tamilnadu. But why we are concerned about him is because he is a strong supporter of separatism.
The first act by him in relation to Sri Lanka was leading Tamilnadu people for mass protests in order to save Prabhakaran. Later he was shocked to hear the news of the capture of Kilinochchi by the Sri Lankan army. And he expressed his shock by declaring that he would make a Tamil army by himself and come to Sri Lanka to defeat the Sri Lankan army.
But alas, he couldn’t find a single person to join his army. Still, he was not ready to go down. Next he announced that he would bring the Sri Lankan president, defence secretary and the army commanders to Tamilnadu and jail them.
But that mission too, went down the hill.
All this happened before the death of Prabhakaran. Now, at present, Seeman is ready to hop on for his next mission. That is, namely, to become the ‘duplicate Prabhakaran’. Last Saturday, he announced the launch of a new political group, “Naam Tamilar” (We are Tamils). He stated that the reason for establishing this party is to give rebirth to the LTTE.
Further clarifications revealed that the official flag of this party would be the same as the LTTE’s. The news triggered some jubilations among the Eelaam supporters throughout the world; some went on to see Seeman as a ‘new star in the sky’.
Seeman, with the clear intention of resurrecting separatism in both Sri Lanka and Tamilnadu, is expecting to launch his party on 18th of May , the doomsday of Prabhakaran and his killer group.
“We simply can’t forget that day. It is the day the Sinhala government crushed the LTTE. We have to continue the struggle from there on.” Seeman had stated.
It is still not clear whether the Indian authorities would allow Seeman to combine the LTTE flag for his political activities, given the fact that LTTE is marked as a terror organization in India. Some time earlier, due to his statement about separating both Sri Lanka and India, he was arrested and remanded. So the Indian government would be watchful about all his activities, be them political or not.
Last week, Seeman complained that the DMK and the Anna DMK, political parties of Karunanidhi and Jayalalita respectively, have let down the Tamils by not fulfilling their expectations. He also went on to say that this was one reason for him to come up with an alternative political solution. But with the Indian government already facing problems because of the Andhra separatists, chances are, they won’t let Seeman emerge as another separatist.
But Seeman is already getting the green light from the international LTTE network. This is easily understood by looking at their European website, which has allocated a large portion for Seeman’s politics. So it can be safely deducted that Seeman is not working as an individual; the LTTE worldwide network is behind him.
18th of May 2010 marks the first year after Prabhakaran’s death. The LTTE network along with Seeman and other separatists expected this day to be celebrated under a LTTE friendly Sri Lankan president and a government. Fortunately for us, things didn’t turn out as they would have liked.
But danger lies in the near future.
Inauguration
We, as patriotic Sri Lankans, were more than happy to see the end of Prabhakaran and his military wing of the LTTE. We let out sighs of relief, thinking that this is the end of the separatists who were craving for the Eelaam.
But things did not turn out as we expected. From the way the presidential elections went, we could see that a huge conspiracy, an international one without doubt, was brewing. It was clear that, especially the western countries, wanted Sri Lanka to come down as a nation.
At present, international LTTE leaders (as they call themselves) have sprung up from nowhere, and they are already threatening the SL government.
This blog, as a patriotic responsibility, will explain the security situation in Sri Lanka as it happens, to keep people aware of where the country is heading.
